Flexible Rogowski Coil Current Transformer
Measuring range 1 A to 10000 A
Output at 1000 A 40 mV / 80 mV / 100 mV
A rope, not a ring. The coil fits panels, wire bundles and irregular bus where a solid or split core simply will not go, and because there is no magnetic core there is no saturation to design around.
The flexible Rogowski coil current transformer series is designed for easy integration in a variety of applications and systems. The rope like coil allows it to fit into any constrained spatial configuration ranging from panels, wire bundles or irregular sized bus where a regular solid core CT or split core CT cannot be used.
The split design permits non contact AC current or current pulse measurement without requiring that the primary conductor be taken offline and disconnected for the current sensor installation. This method provides for safe, easy and portable measurement of current.
A current sensor based upon the Rogowski coil principle offers significant advantages over the standard magnetic core current transformer. Specifically, since the sensor does not incorporate a magnetic core, magnetic core saturation is avoided.

There is no iron in it. Saturation is a property of a magnetic core, and a Rogowski coil is wound on a non magnetic former, so the output stays proportional right through a fault.
The raw coil output is proportional to the rate of change of current, so it must be integrated to give current. Coils are supplied with mV output for instruments that integrate internally, or with an integrator giving 0-5 V AC or 0.333 V.
±1 % with a conductor position sensitivity of ±2 % maximum. Keeping the conductor near the centre of the loop and closing the coil properly is what keeps you at the good end of that range.
Coils run 20 cm to 200 cm. Pick a length that closes comfortably around the conductor bundle without leaving a large loop of slack.
