Product Overview

The DX range of current transformers has been designed with double terminal entry, which allows short circuit links to be fitted when it is necessary to disconnect the measuring instrument from the transformer without damage to the CT, or for easier termination to ground of the CT.

Why does double terminal entry matter?

An open secondary on a live current transformer is dangerous. With a second terminal entry a short circuit link stays fitted while the instrument is swapped, so the secondary is never open circuit and the core is never damaged.

Which DX frame matches a 30 × 10 mm busbar?

DX-30 and DX-30L both take a 30 × 10 mm busbar and cover 100/5 A to 500/5 A.

What does the L suffix mean?

The L frames share the electrical rating and case dimensions of the standard frame; they are a body variant. Confirm the exact variant with an engineer before ordering.
