HD016 Conductor Butt Welding Machine for 1.0-16.0 mm²

HD016 Conductor Butt Welding Machine for 1.0-16.0 mm²

Single phase 220 V chamber welder with 12 gears and a quartz crucible, for bunched copper conductor.

Product Overview

HD016 Conductor Butt Welding Machine for 1.0-16.0 mm²

The HD016 bonds stranded and bunched copper conductor from 1.0 mm² to 16.0 mm². It runs from a single phase 50 Hz 220 V supply at 3 kVA maximum, clamps and extrudes mechanically, uses a quartz glass tube as the welding crucible, and cools naturally — so there is no water circuit to plumb in.

Key Benefits

What This Model Gives You

Single Phase 220 V

A 3 kVA single phase machine can be plugged in beside the line rather than waiting on a three-phase drop.

12 Gears of Adjustment

Enough steps to set the machine correctly across a 1.0 to 16.0 mm² span.

Quartz Crucible

Transparent, ±0.01 mm hole tolerance and a 1300 °C softening point, against an opaque rough-bored ceramic tube.

Natural Cooling

No water circuit, no chiller, nothing extra to maintain.

Application Scenarios

Where It Is Used

  • Bunched copper conductor 1.0-16.0 mm²
  • Automotive and appliance cable
  • Building wire conductor
  • Insulation extrusion line restarts

Industries

Problems It Solves

Why Buyers Specify It

  • Stranded conductor cannot be cold welded like a solid wire
  • A conductor break at the extruder is an insulation extrusion shutdown
  • A pneumatic machine needs air that a small line may not have

Compared With Other Models

The HD120 is the larger machine: 35.0-120 mm², three phase 380 V, 50 kVA, with pneumatic clamping and pushing at 190 kg. The HD016 is the single phase mechanical machine for the small and medium sections at 80 kg.

Use Guide

How It Is Set Up and Run

  1. Select the quartz crucible whose hole diameter matches the conductor.
  2. Load both conductor ends into the crucible so the ends touch.
  3. Set the gear for the section and start the cycle.
  4. Once welded, shatter the crucible and dress the joint lightly before it enters the extruder nozzle.
Customisation and Supply

What Is Built to Order

Dies to Your Wire

Dies are manufactured for wire between 0.10 mm and 25.0 mm to suit round or profile wire and rod, to the customer's own specification, at -1% / +2% of the wire diameter.

Your Electrical Supply

On the motorised and hydraulic machines, operating voltage is built to the industrial supply of the destination country. State voltage, phase and frequency with the order.

Export Packing

Machines are packed in a strong wooden or plywood case as stated per model. Carry cases are supplied with the portable welders and the DA10.
