Three phase 380 V 50 kVA chamber welder with pneumatic clamping, for large stranded conductor and cable.
View specificationsA stranded conductor cannot be cold welded like a solid wire — the strands have to be brought to plastic condition and forced together inside a chamber. Done properly the joint is homogeneous, pore-free and burr-free, and needs almost no dressing before it enters the extruder nozzle.
HD016 covers bunched copper 1.0-16.0 mm² on single phase 220 V; HD120 covers 35.0-120 mm² on three phase 380 V.
A transparent chamber the operator can see the joint through, with ±0.01 mm hole tolerance and a 1300 °C softening point.
HD016 clamps and extrudes mechanically with 12 gears of adjustment; HD120 uses pneumatic clamping and pushing.
The weld surface is clean, smooth and hardly thicker than the conductor, so only minor post-treatment is needed.
A homogeneous pore-free and burr-free joint that goes into the extruder nozzle with only minor dressing.

The CHY series covers copper from 1.00 mm to 20.00 mm and aluminium to 25.00 mm, including rectangular strip.
Industry-standard dies for wire from 0.10 mm to 25.0 mm, single or double cavity, round or profile.
Drawing and stranding dies from 0.015 mm to 40.00 mm, chosen by wear rate rather than by price per die.

Quotes for conductor butt welding machines are built around the wire diameter, the section and the electrical supply where the machine will run.
