SGT450 Copper Rod Pointing Machine for 8.0 mm Rod
Points 8.0 mm copper rod and 13.0 mm aluminium rod down to a φ1.00 mm outlet on a 450 mm block.

Conical points from φ3.55 mm in to φ0.66 mm out, on eight grooves with nitrided 38CrMoAl rolls.
View specificationsA badly pointed wire breaks in the die on the first pull, and a triangular point is the usual reason. A rolled conical point threads the die and survives the draw, which is the difference between one restart and a shift of them.
The point is conical after rolling, so the wire is not drawn broken while the die takes it.
SGT170 for intermediate drawing from φ3.55 mm to φ0.66 mm, SGT450 for 8.0 mm copper rod and 13.0 mm aluminium rod.
Roll material is 38CrMoAl subjected to deep nitriding, so the rolls resist abrasion and stay in service.
Compact configuration with eight grooves for wire on the SGT170, so it fits beside the block.
A break is unavoidable. What is avoidable is threading the whole line again.

The CHY series covers copper from 1.00 mm to 20.00 mm and aluminium to 25.00 mm, including rectangular strip.
Industry-standard dies for wire from 0.10 mm to 25.0 mm, single or double cavity, round or profile.
Drawing and stranding dies from 0.015 mm to 40.00 mm, chosen by wear rate rather than by price per die.

Quotes for wire pointing machines are built around the wire diameter, the section and the electrical supply where the machine will run.
