What Cold Pressure Welding Does
Cold pressure welding is an economic and effective way to join non-ferrous metals and their alloys without heat, fillers or fluxes. It creates a weld as strong as the parent material with the same electrical characteristics. SGT builds three machine families for it — portable, desk and hydraulic pressure car style — covering copper wire from Ø0.05 mm to Ø25.00 mm and aluminium wire from Ø0.05 mm to Ø50.00 mm.
The Die Programme
SGT welding dies are the industry standard type and can be customised to the specifications of special wire. They also fit comparable cold pressure welders from other manufacturers, so a plant does not have to change machines to change die supplier.
