What This Machine Does
The UL series is the touch-screen version of XAIMC's cylinder head machine. Everything the operator sets is entered on one integrated screen rather than across separate dials, which is what makes the machine readable to someone who has not spent years on seat work. Underneath, a customised high-performance control system drives a self-adaptive triple air-cushion work head and a built-in high-torque spindle motor, so every seat is cut to the same geometry rather than to whatever the operator felt on that particular head. Centring can be done automatically or manually, whichever suits the head in front of you. The JOG function turns the spindle under direct control so the cutting bit can be stopped in any position, removing the blind area that normally makes setup risky. An upgraded handle controls the work head and the air-float clamping system, and the clamping system rotates the workpiece from minus 45 to plus 45 degrees, fastening quickly for angled seat work.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Integrated touch-screen interface puts the whole setup in one place instead of across separate controls
- Self-adaptive triple air-cushion work head centres the cut on the head itself, so seat consistency does not depend on the operator
- Auto-centering and manual-centering both available, so awkward heads can still be set by hand
- JOG spindle control stops the cutting bit in any position and removes the blind area during setup
- Clamping system rotates the workpiece from minus 45 to plus 45 degrees for angled seat work
- Air-float clamping with an upgraded handle makes work head movement and clamping faster to operate
- Built-in high-torque spindle motor holds cutting speed through hard seat material
Where Self-Adaptive Touch Screen Machine for Cylinder Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Seat results vary between operators when the cut depends on feel rather than a set program
- Blind areas during setup cause crashed cutting bits and scrapped seat inserts
- Centring a head takes too long when there is only one centring method available
- Angled seats need the head repositioned, which is slow when clamping is not made for rotation
- Older control panels are hard to read and slow to teach, which limits who can run the machine
Who It Is For
- Engine rebuild shops replacing manual seat machines with a screen-driven machine
- Workshops whose seat quality varies between operators and shifts
- Fleet and truck workshops reconditioning their own cylinder heads
- Distributors equipping engine rebuilding lines in export markets
Application Scenarios
- Cutting valve seats across a mixed intake of car and light-truck cylinder heads
- Angled seat work on heads that must be rotated within the minus 45 to plus 45 degree range
- Training newer operators onto seat work without a long apprenticeship on manual machines
- Batch head reconditioning where every seat must match the last one
- Setting up quickly between different head types in a busy rebuild shop

How It Compares With the Alternatives
| Manual valve seat boring machine | On a manual machine the seat depends on operator feel; here the control system and air-cushion head hold the same geometry across the batch |
|---|---|
| XAIMC TL120CNC CNC valve seat machine | The CNC machine stores and executes a seat program; the UL series is a touch-screen operated machine where the operator stays in the cut but with integrated screen control |
| Digital readout seat machines | A DRO shows a number; the touch-screen interface here gathers the whole setup including centring mode and clamping into one operating panel |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Clamp the cylinder head in the air-float clamping system and set the rotation angle needed
Step 2
Choose auto-centering or manual-centering depending on the head condition
Step 3
Enter the seat settings on the touch screen
Step 4
Use JOG to rotate the spindle and confirm cutting bit clearance before the cut
Step 5
Cut the first seat and check width and concentricity before continuing
Step 6
Keep the air supply clean and dry so the cushion work head centres correctly

Questions About Self-Adaptive Touch Screen Machine for Cylin
What is the difference between auto-centering and manual-centering?
Auto-centering lets the air-cushion head find the centre itself, which is faster in batch work. Manual-centering gives the operator control where a worn or damaged head needs judgement.
How far can the workpiece be rotated?
The clamping system holds the workpiece through rotation from minus 45 degrees to plus 45 degrees, which covers angled seat positions.
What sizes of cylinder head will it take?
Send us the length and width of the longest head you run and we will confirm the working envelope of the machine before you order.
What is the JOG function for?
It lets the operator rotate the spindle under direct control and stop the cutting bit in any position, so there is no blind area during setup.
What tooling comes with the machine?
Tooling is specified against your seat and guide diameters. Send us the range you work on and we will quote the cutter and pilot set with the machine.
What voltage will the machine be supplied at?
We set supply voltage and frequency to your market. Confirm your shop supply when you place the order.
What are your trade and payment terms?
FOB CFR and CIF. Payment is 30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight.
