Showing Engine Rebuilding Equipment at Metaltech Malaysia 2022

Project Challenge

Engine rebuilding equipment is difficult to buy from a catalogue. A workshop owner deciding between a manual, digital display and CNC valve seat machine wants to stand in front of all three, see the difference in how they are driven, and ask what happens when the head is longer than the one on the stand. That conversation does not happen over email.

Customer Pain Points

• Buyers cannot judge machine build quality from photographs
• Model selection depends on details of the buyer's own workload that only come out in conversation
• Overseas buyers want to meet the supplier before committing to an import
• Local support expectations need to be set before an order, not after

Our Solution

A stand at Metaltech Malaysia 2022 with engine rebuilding and valve refacing equipment on display, staffed jointly with a local engineering partner so visitors could discuss both the machines and what support would look like in their own market.

Final Result

The stand ran through the exhibition in June 2022 with the team meeting visitors directly at the machines.

Customer Benefit

Buyers in the region were able to see and operate the equipment, discuss which model suited the engines they actually work on, and meet both the manufacturer and a local engineering contact in the same conversation.
