Double sided FR4 rigid PCB with lead-free HASL finish and mixed through-hole and SMD footprints
Product category

Rigid FR4 Boards From Two Layers To Sixteen

Rigid FR4 boards from 1 to 16 layers, up to 450 x 660 mm, with 0.075 mm trace and space and a 0.20 mm minimum finished hole. Lead-free HASL, immersion gold and electroplated gold finishes are all run in house.

The problem

What This Family Is For

Most rigid board problems are not exotic. Boards arrive that will not fit the enclosure, pads that will not wet, fine pitch parts that bridge, and multilayer stacks whose inner layers have drifted. Every one of those is a tolerance that either was or was not held. Our rigid capacity table publishes the numbers we work to, so you can check your design against them before you place an order rather than after the first article fails.

Who it suits

Who Buys Rigid PCB From Us

  • Industrial control OEMs building relay, interface and motion cards
  • Telecommunication equipment makers with dense digital sections
  • Medical device manufacturers who need a stable finish for long storage
  • Computing and embedded hardware builders working to controlled impedance
Where it goes

Typical Applications

  • Interface and I/O cards that plug into an industrial chassis
  • Controller boards carrying a fine pitch processor and Ethernet
  • Plug-in line cards with gold edge connectors
  • Backplanes distributing several buses and supply rails
Core advantages

Four Reasons This Family Is Built Here

Each point below is backed by a figure from the published capability tables rather than by a claim.

  • 1 to 16 layers. One plant covers a two layer interface card and a twelve layer backplane, so a product family does not need two suppliers.
  • 0.075 mm trace and space. Three mil width and space on inner and outer layers, which is what fine pitch escape routing needs.
  • Three surface finishes. Lead-free HASL for cost, immersion gold for flatness, electroplated gold for contact surfaces. All three run on our own lines.
  • Tested before shipping. Open and short testing at 50 to 300 V, hole resistance below 300 ohms and isolation resistance above 10 to the power 12 ohms.

Questions

Rigid PCB Questions

How many layers can you build?

1 to 16 layers, as published in our rigid capacity table. Boards from 2 to 12 layers are in the catalogue.

What is your maximum board size?

450 x 660 mm, which is 18 x 26 inches.

Which surface finish should I choose?

Lead-free HASL where the finest pitch is 0.5 mm or coarser, immersion gold for BGA and fine pitch SMD, and electroplated gold where the surface is mated or touched, such as edge fingers.

What tolerance do you hold on the board outline?

±0.10 mm on outline dimensions and ±0.05 mm on hole position.

Is the laminate flame rated?

Yes, 94V-0 self-extinguishing.
