Product Overview
The LW plastic slat is the general-purpose floor of the JGM range. It is injection-moulded in high-density polypropylene with a saw-tooth anti-slip surface and wide, round-edged drainage gaps, so manure and water leave the pen without a hose in most rooms.
Panels lock together on the long edges and sit on FRP or concrete beams at 200, 400, 500 or 600 mm spans. The B versions are built for sow weight; the C version has a closed edge where the floor meets a wall or a pen boundary. Colour is produced to customer requirement.

Drainage without daily hosing
Wide, round-edged gaps let manure and urine pass on hoof pressure alone, which cuts washdown water and labour in the dunging area.
Grip that does not polish away
The saw-tooth surface is moulded into the panel, not applied to it, so the anti-slip texture stays after years of cleaning.
One floor, four spans
600×200, 600×400, 600×500 and 600×600 mm share the same edge profile, so a room can mix spans over different beam layouts without special parts.

A slatted floor drops the slurry into the pit instead of holding it against the animal, so bedding stays drier and room temperature is easier to hold.

Metal floors corrode under washdown
PP does not rust or scale, so a high-pressure gun and a disinfectant cycle do not shorten the floor's life.

Materials and Manufacturing
Injection-moulded polypropylene. The LW Plastic Slat is injection-moulded on JGM's own presses in Ningbo. Polypropylene granulate is dried, dosed and shot into a steel tool, so the part that leaves the press is the part the tool was cut for — there is no secondary forming stage where the dimension can drift. Colour is added as masterbatch at the press, which is why colour goes all the way through the part instead of sitting on it as a coating.

Installing and Running It
Step 1
Set FRP or concrete beams at the span printed on the panel code — a 600×400 panel needs support at 400 mm centres.
Step 2
Lay panels with the interlock along the beam run and finish the pen edge with a closed-edge C panel or a U-channel.
Step 3
Leave the manufacturer's expansion allowance at the room ends; PP moves slightly between day and night temperature.
Step 4
Wash down with a high-pressure gun at the normal angle; no sealing or coating is needed before first use.

LW Plastic Slat FAQs
What beam spacing does each LW panel need?
The last two digits of the code are the span in millimetres. LW6040 spans 400 mm, LW6050 spans 500 mm and LW6060 spans 600 mm, so beams are set at that centre distance.
Can I get the slats in a colour other than blue?
Yes. Colour is produced to customer requirement — the catalogue codes are supplied in the colour agreed for your order.
How many slats fit in a 40 ft container?
It depends on the code: roughly 4,480 pcs of LW6040, 3,400 pcs of LW6050 and 3,000 pcs of LW6060 in a standard 40 ft, with higher counts in a 40 ft high cube.
What is the difference between the B and C versions?
B is the sow version, built for the heavier load of gestation and farrowing housing. C is a closed-edge panel used where the floor meets a wall or pen boundary.
