Turned stainless steel precision bushing with a finished bore and chamfered ends.
A turned sleeve that carries a shaft, sets the running clearance and takes the wear instead of the housing.
A bushing does two jobs. It gives the shaft a bearing surface, and it makes wear a replaceable item rather than a reason to scrap a housing. Both jobs depend on the bore: its diameter relative to the shaft, its roundness once the bushing is pressed into the housing, and its finish. Hongpin turns bushings to drawing in stainless steel, aluminium alloy and engineering plastic, and will machine them as a matched pair with the shaft where the clearance is critical.
Maintenance and design engineers replacing worn bearing surfaces, and fixture builders who need guide bushes made to a specific bore.

Against a rolling-element bearing, a plain bushing is cheaper, tolerates shock and contamination better and takes less radial space, but it has more friction and needs a good shaft. Against running a shaft directly in the housing, it moves the wear into a part you can replace.

A turned ring that joins two tube or housing sections and holds them concentric while the assembly is fastened.
