Questions About Springs and Fasteners

Can you reproduce a spring from a sample?
Usually yes. Wire diameter, coil diameter, free length and leg geometry can all be measured; what needs confirming with you is the working deflection and the wind direction.
Why use a dowel pin when the joint already has bolts?
A bolt in a clearance hole cannot locate. Dowels locate and bolts clamp, and using each for its own job is what makes a joint repeatable.
Do you supply these in stainless?
Yes. Stainless is the usual choice where washdown or corrosion is involved, and it avoids the plated head failures that show up on carbon steel pins.
