This is the plain version of what Hongpin does. You have a drawing, or a sample and a need. The part gets made in the material the job requires, to the tolerances on the print, in the quantity you actually need rather than a minimum that suits the supplier.
Each stage exists to move a decision earlier, where changing it is still cheap.
A dimensioned 2D print is enough to quote. A STEP file alongside removes ambiguity.
Tolerances tighter than the function needs are flagged, because that is usually where the cost is.
