Do I need a transducer or a positioner?
A transducer sets an air pressure proportional to your signal. A positioner reads the actuator position back and keeps adjusting until the stem gets there. Use a positioner when linkage friction or process load stops the actuator reaching position.
Can the unit be mounted at any angle?
The Type 1000 transducer can be pipe, panel or bracket mounted in any position; positions other than vertical need the zero adjustment recalibrated.
What air quality is required?
Clean dry instrument air. Dirty or wet air is the most common cause of drift in both transducers and positioners, so keep the filter regulator serviced.
How quickly can you deliver for a fit-out programme?
Regular quantities ship in 2 to 3 days from stock, and large quantities take 7 to 10 days.
