SGT170 Wire Pointing Machine for Intermediate Drawing
The SGT170 points wire for a medium wire drawing machine. It is small in configuration with good performance, and the point it produces is conical rather than triangular — which is what keeps the wire from being drawn broken as the die takes it. A 1.5 kW motor drives eight grooves, with rolls in 38CrMoAl subjected to deep nitriding.

How It Is Set Up and Run
- Set the groove for the incoming wire diameter.
- Feed the wire end in until the taper begins to form.
- Run until the outlet reaches the required point diameter.
- Check the point is conical before threading the die.

Export Packing
Machines are packed in a strong wooden or plywood case as stated per model. Carry cases are supplied with the portable welders and the DA10.
