Machine Overview

The QT40-1 is the first step up from hand feeding. A 6 metre belt conveyor carries the mixed batch from the JD350 pan mixer into the machine hopper, and a 13.45 kW electrical vibration press moulds the block in 30 seconds. The published layout needs about 60 square metres of covered floor and three to four workers. Moulds change the product, and the capacity table runs from 2160 pieces per 8 hours on a 400 x 250 x 200 mm block up to 17280 pieces on a 240 x 115 x 53 mm brick.

Key Benefits

  • 30 second moulding cycle against 40 seconds on the hand-fed QT40-2
  • Belt conveyor removes the wheelbarrow step between mixer and hopper
  • 35.5 kN vibration force compacts solid brick moulds that hand presses struggle with
  • 60 square metre theoretical workshop area, so it fits an existing shed
  • Ships assembled: no installation work beyond connecting the power supply

Who It Is For

  • Block yards that have outgrown a manual press but not yet justified hydraulics
  • Buyers with three to four workers and a 60 square metre covered area
  • Projects that need several block sizes from one press

Problems It Solves

  • Manual feeding that caps output no matter how fast the press cycles
  • Uneven compaction on solid brick moulds where vibration force is too low
  • Floor space that will not take a full automatic production line

Application Scenarios

  • A block yard serving a town or district with steady daily demand
  • Producing 240 x 115 x 53 mm standard bricks as a clay brick replacement
  • Paving brick production at 225 x 112.5 x 60 mm for local walkway contracts
  • A second shift machine alongside an automatic line during peak season

Technical Features

  • 13.45 kW electrical vibration press, 30 second moulding period
  • JD350 pan mixer, 5.5 kW, 1.2 m pan diameter
  • 6000 x 400 mm belt conveyor rated 1.1 kW feeding the hopper
  • 850 x 550 x 30 mm pallets, 600 supplied, with two block trolleys
  • 3 t machine weight on a 2060 x 1730 x 1850 mm footprint

Quality Control In The Workshop

  • Steel plate is laser cut so frame parts carry no dimensional error
  • Key stress points are welded by robotic arm for a uniform weld
  • Frames are shot blasted to remove surface rust before painting
  • 12 month warranty on the frame, vibration system and drive motors from shipment

Use Guide

  • Allow roughly 60 square metres of covered floor for the machine, mixer and conveyor
  • Arrange the office, curing area and stacking area around that footprint to suit the site
  • Keep three to four workers on the line: mixer, press, and pallet handling
  • Rotate the 600 pallets so blocks cure fully before a pallet returns to the press
Production Capacity

Published Output By Block Size

Capacity is indicative. Actual output varies with operator efficiency, mould and material quality, which is how the manufacturer specification states it.

Comparison

How It Compares With The Alternatives

A technical comparison against the other ways of solving the same problem, using the figures each machine publishes for itself.

QT40-2 manual machineThe QT40-2 is hand fed with a 40 second cycle and 30 kN vibration. The QT40-1 adds the conveyor, 35.5 kN and a 30 second cycle for the same three-worker crew.
QT4-24 semi automatic machineIdentical press specification, with a button control box added. Choose the QT4-24 when operators prefer panel control and plywood case shipping.
QT4-25 automatic machineThe QT4-25 moves to PLC control with automatic plate supply and brick discharge, 70-90 kN vibration and a 25 second cycle.
Questions

QT40-1 Semi Auto Cement Block Machine Questions

How much floor space does the QT40-1 need?
The published layout is a theoretical workshop area of 60 square metres for the machine, mixer and conveyor. Curing, stacking and office space are arranged around that according to your site.
How many blocks will it make in a shift?
Between 2160 and 2880 pieces per 8 hours on a 400 x 250 x 200 mm block, and up to 17280 pieces on a 240 x 115 x 53 mm brick. Output depends on operator efficiency and material quality.
Can moulds be made for a size that is not in the table?
Yes. Moulds are designed to your block drawing. Send the block dimensions and the wall standard you build to and a mould proposal comes back.
Does it need a concrete foundation?
The machine ships as one unit and runs after connection to power. A level, firm floor is enough; no anchored foundation is quoted for this model.
What is included besides the press?
A JD350 pan mixer, a 6 metre belt conveyor, two block trolleys and 600 pallets.
