Curing Concrete Blocks After They Leave The Machine

Natural Curing Is The Published Method

After moulding, finished blocks undergo natural curing for a period before they can be handled as product. There is no autoclave in this process and none is required for the machines in this range.

Keep Them Moist

During curing, regular water spraying is required to keep the blocks moist. Blocks that dry out too quickly lose strength and develop surface cracking, and no amount of vibration force at the moulding stage compensates for that.

Keep The Rain Off

Finished blocks should be fully covered and sheltered from rain to prevent surface damage and cracking. Covered curing is not the same as wet curing: the water you add is controlled, the water that falls on them is not.

Handling Cured Product

A forklift is needed for transporting cured bricks and finished stacks, and a wheel loader is used to feed raw material into the mixing system. Both belong in the plant budget alongside the machine itself, and both need routes planned into the layout drawing.
