Electronics manufacturers and repair benches, teaching laboratories and universities, clinical and research labs, metallurgy and foundry quality rooms, geology and gemmology labs, jewellery and watchmaking workshops, and dealers who resell optical instruments and astronomy accessories.
Electronics Manufacturing and Repair
Rework benches, SMT lines and repair shops need magnification with clearance underneath, illumination without a shadow, and a camera so a defect can be shown to somebody else.
Education and Teaching Laboratories
Teaching labs buy in quantity, replace parts every term, and need instruments that survive being handled by people who have never used one before.
Clinical and Research Laboratories
Laboratory work is repetitive and long. The instrument has to be comfortable for a whole shift, and the image has to be repeatable enough to record.
Metallurgy and Materials Testing
Grain structure, weld quality, coating thickness and heat treatment are all read off a polished, opaque surface, which means light has to come down the same path the image comes back on.
Jewellery Gemmology and Watchmaking
Setting, engraving and movement work all happen under the optics with both hands busy, so clearance, depth perception and light quality matter more than raw magnification.
Astronomy Dealers and Observatories
Telescope accessories fail at the interfaces. Focusers, adapters, filter wheels and off-axis guiders have to thread and register together before anything reaches the sensor.
Most Microscope Problems Are Configuration Problems
- Most microscope problems are configuration problems. The wrong working distance leaves no room for a soldering iron. The wrong adapter vignettes the camera. A head, a stand and a light bought from three sources do not fit together. Because heads, stands, adapters, objectives and cameras are all stocked here, a bench can be specified as one matched set and extended later from the same range.
One Matched Set
Head, stand, focusing mount, objective, illumination and camera all come from the same catalogue, so the parts register together instead of nearly fitting.
Upgrade Instead of Replace
One supplier for the instrument, the imaging chain and the spare optics. Adapters are listed against the microscope brands they fit, including third-party stereo and inverted bodies, so an existing microscope can be upgraded instead of replaced.
Four Questions Decide the Whole Configuration
Smallest Feature
What is the smallest thing you must resolve, and how much of the part must you see at once. That pair sets the zoom range.
Clearance
What has to fit under the optics — iron, probe, fixture. That sets the objective and the working distance.
Recording
Does the image need to leave the bench. That decides trinocular head, adapter reduction and camera interface.
Space and Access
Does the part come to the microscope or the microscope to the part. That decides pillar, track, boom or articulated stand.
Configuration Guides Written For Buyers
Configure a Stereo Inspection Bench
A stereo inspection bench is five decisions: the head, the zoom body, the stand, the illumination and the imaging chain. Get them in that order and the parts fit; buy them separately and they usually do not.
Read The GuideAdd a Camera to an Existing Microscope
Most microscopes already on a bench can be given a camera. The work is in matching three things: the port, the adapter reduction and the sensor size.
Read The GuideSpecify a Teaching Laboratory
A teaching lab is a fleet purchase. What matters is that every unit is identical, that spares exist, and that the whole class can be shown the same thing when needed.
Read The GuideBuy Optics as Spare Parts
An instrument with a broken stage, a missing eyepiece or a damaged objective does not need replacing. Most of the optical and mechanical parts in this catalogue are sold on their own.

Read ArticleFrequently Asked Questions
Can I order a single accessory rather than a complete microscope?
Yes. Heads, stands, focusing mounts, eyepieces, objectives, adapters, stages, ring lights and cold light sources are all listed and sold as separate items.
Do your adapters fit microscopes from other brands?
Many do. The adapter range names the third-party stereo, biological and inverted bodies it fits. Send us your microscope model and the camera you intend to use and we will confirm before you order.
How do I get a quotation?
Email [email protected] with the model numbers or the inspection task you need to cover. Every product page has an email link that pre-fills the product name in the subject line.
Can you help specify a bench rather than just supply a part number?
Yes. Tell us the smallest feature you inspect, what has to fit under the optics, whether images are recorded and how much bench space you have, and we will propose a configuration.
What information do you need for a camera and adapter quote?
The microscope brand and model, the trinocular port if known, and the camera sensor format. Those three determine the adapter reduction.
Do you supply spare parts for microscopes already in service?
Yes. Eyepieces, objectives, stages, illuminators and adapters are stocked individually so an instrument can be repaired or upgraded rather than replaced.
Tell Us The Inspection Task Not Just The Part Number
Send the smallest feature you inspect, what must fit under the optics and whether images are recorded. We will come back with a configuration and a price.
