A stenter chain is not a conveyor chain. It carries fabric tension through a heat chamber for thousands of hours, and it is built from connectors, U-shaped connectors, pins, PEEK bush, PEEK dust cover, screws and wear sleeves. We sell the complete chain and we sell every one of those parts separately, because a mill whose link plates are still sound should be rebuilding the chain, not replacing it.

What is inside a stenter chain?
Connectors, U-shaped connectors, pins, PEEK bush, PEEK dust cover, screws and wear sleeves. We sell all of them separately as well as the complete chain.
How do I know if the chain is stretched?
Measure the pitch over ten links and compare it against a new section. Once the take-up has run out of adjustment, the chain needs replacing.
How often should the chain be serviced?
Clean the guide and the chain at least once a year and add high-temperature grease. DuPont, Miller and Kluber grades are the ones our customers use.
Can I replace one rail only?
We do not recommend it. Replacing one side leaves the fabric under uneven tension across the width.
