PEEK, polyether ether ketone, is a high-performance thermoplastic that combines high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance and high strength. That combination is why it has spread so widely through textile machinery. In a stenter it does four jobs: it lines the pin inside the chain link, it slides against the guide rail, it forms the adjustable nut that widens the rail, and it absorbs impact in the chain path.

What is PEEK?
Polyether ether ketone, a high-performance special thermoplastic with excellent high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance and high strength.
What does the PEEK nut actually do?
It is the adjustable nut on the setting machine's lead rod, the part that lets the guide rail be widened. Because it is self-lubricating it needs no molybdenum disulfide.
Why replace a copper mesh bush with PEEK?
PEEK is the wear-resistant lining between the pin and the chain. Its self-lubrication makes it more wear resistant and gives it a longer service life than the copper mesh it replaces.
What sizes do you hold?
44 x 7, 44 x 6, 45 x 6 and 45 x 6.35 as standard. Other sizes are made against a sample.
