What This Solution Covers
Mills that have grown by buying machines end up with three or four rail patterns on one floor, and a spare parts store that has to carry all of them. We convert rail guides between patterns. Artos rail changed to Monforts rail and LK rail changed to Monforts rail are the two we do most often. After conversion the machine takes the same plates, clips and chain as the rest of the park.
Every Stage From Enquiry To Service
Nothing here is a black box. If a stage does not apply to your machine we say so and take it out of the quotation.
Survey
Send photos and measurements of the existing rail, chain and plate mounting on the machine to be converted.
Target pattern
Decide which pattern the park should standardise on. Most mills choose Monforts because it is the pattern they hold most spares for.
Design
We work out the rail sections, chain and mounting parts needed to take the machine onto the target pattern.
Quote
Priced as a package against the cost of continuing to stock two or three separate parts lines.
Manufacture
Rail sections, chain and mounting parts made together so they fit each other, not just the drawing.
Install
Fitted during a planned shutdown. Alignment is what prevents fabric distortion, so it is worth the time.
Standardise
One plate pattern, one clip reference and one chain across the park.

Which conversions do you do?
Artos rail changed to Monforts rail, and LK rail changed to Monforts rail, are the two we do most often. Ask us about others.
Why convert rather than keep stocking two patterns?
Because the second parts line costs money to hold and it is the one that is always out of stock when you need it. Converting puts the whole park on one list.
Does conversion affect fabric quality?
Done properly it should not. Proper alignment is what prevents fabric distortion, and that is the part of the job that deserves the time.
Can you quote from photos?
Yes, to a first approximation. A full quote needs measurements of the rail, chain and plate mounting.
