Overview

What This Machine Does

This family of small cylinder boring machines rebores the engine cylinders of motorcycles, automobiles and middle and small tractors, and also machines the inner holes of cylinder sleeves and other machine element holes. The four models differ almost entirely in bore range, which is how a buyer picks one: the T806 bores 39 to 60 mm, the T807 39 to 70 mm, the T806A 46 to 80 mm and the T808A 50 to 85 mm. The first three bore to a maximum depth of 160 mm at 486 r/min with a spindle feed of 0.09 mm/r; the T808A goes to 170 mm depth at 394 r/min with 0.10 mm/r feed. Spindle quick reset is manual on all four. Motors run on 220 or 380 V. These are rigid machines with a useful amount of cutting, easy and flexible to operate, and at 75 to 80 kg they suit a workshop that needs boring capability without a full engine machining line.

Key Benefits

Why Buyers Choose This Machine

  • Four bore ranges from 39 to 85 mm cover motorcycle small car and small tractor cylinders
  • Rebores engine cylinders and also machines cylinder sleeve inner holes and other machine element holes
  • Good rigidity allows a useful amount of cutting rather than light finishing passes only
  • Machine weight of 75 to 80 kg means it can be positioned in a small workshop
  • Motor accepts 220 or 380 V, so it fits most workshop supplies
  • Easy and flexible operation for a shop without a dedicated borer
  • T808A option gives 170 mm boring depth where the others reach 160 mm
Application

Where Small Boring Machine T806 Earns Its Place

Problems It Solves

  • A worn small cylinder is scrapped when there is no way to rebore it to an oversize piston
  • Sending single cylinders out for boring costs more in turnaround than the job is worth
  • Large cylinder boring machines are too big and too costly for motorcycle-size work
  • Cylinder sleeve inner holes need machining accuracy a hand tool cannot hold
  • A single bore range does not cover both motorcycle and small tractor cylinders

Who It Is For

  • Motorcycle and tricycle repair workshops
  • Small automobile engine repair shops
  • Agricultural machinery repair shops working on middle and small tractors
  • Distributors supplying small engine reconditioning equipment

Application Scenarios

  • Reboring motorcycle cylinders in a two-wheeler repair shop
  • Reboring small automobile engine cylinders before fitting oversize pistons
  • Machining inner holes of cylinder sleeves for cars and tractors
  • Middle and small tractor engine cylinder work in an agricultural repair shop
  • Boring other machine element holes in the same bore diameter range

Manufacturing and Supply

How It Is Built and What Can Be Changed

Operations Performed

  • Boring
  • Reboring

Quality Control

  • Bore diameter and cylindricity checked on a test cylinder at both ends of the model's bore range
  • Spindle speed verified against the 486 or 394 r/min rating
  • Spindle feed verified against the 0.09 or 0.10 mm/r rating
  • Machine rigidity checked under a test cut before shipment
  • Machine painted and inspected before packing

Customisation Options

  • Model chosen from T806 T807 T806A or T808A by the bore diameters you work on
  • Motor supplied for 220 V or 380 V to suit your workshop
  • Boring tooling specified within the model's bore range
  • Manual prepared in the language your shop works in

How It Compares With the Alternatives

XAIMC T8014A and T8016A cylinder boring machinesThose bore 65 to 140 mm and 80 to 165 mm for larger engines; this family covers the 39 to 85 mm motorcycle and small engine range

Use Guide

Running the Machine

Step 1

Choose the model whose bore range covers the cylinders you work on

Step 2

Mount and align the machine on the cylinder or sleeve

Step 3

Set the boring tool to the diameter required within the model's range

Step 4

Check the bore depth needed is within 160 mm, or 170 mm on the T808A

Step 5

Bore at the machine's rated speed and feed

Step 6

Use the manual spindle quick reset to return the spindle

Step 7

Measure the bore before fitting the oversize piston
