What This Machine Does
The Q11 foot power shearer is a simple sheet shear built around a sliding guideway and a trap-pull spring return, with a fixed inside point method of control. There is little in it to go out of adjustment, which is what a duct shop wants from a machine that cuts blanks all day. The blade works at a cutting angle of 1 degree 30 minutes, the shallow angle that keeps the cut edge straight and limits the twist that pulls a long narrow strip out of shape. Three builds cover the usual duct and panel sizes: Q11 1x2000 with a 2000mm cutting length, Q11 1x1600 at 1600mm and Q11 1.2x1300 at 1300mm. Capacity is 0.5 to 1mm in mild steel on the two larger machines and 0.5 to 1.2mm on the 1300mm machine, with 0.5mm in stainless steel and 0.6mm on the 1300mm build. Machine weights are 650kg, 520kg and 380kg.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Simple construction with a sliding guideway leaves little to drift out of adjustment
- Trap-pull spring return brings the blade back without a powered return circuit
- Cutting angle of 1 degree 30 minutes keeps long narrow strips from twisting as they are cut
- Cutting lengths of 2000mm 1600mm and 1300mm cover standard duct and panel blanks
- Rated for stainless steel as well as mild steel so one machine covers both jobs
- Machine weights from 380kg to 650kg give the frame mass that holds the cut line straight
Where Foot Power Shearer Q11 Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Long strips twist during cutting when the blade angle is too steep
- Complex shears need constant adjustment to keep the cut square
- Cutting duct blanks by hand tools is slow and leaves uneven edges
- Undersized machines cannot take the full sheet width so blanks need two cuts
- Stainless steel work gap tears on machines not set for thin hard sheet
Who It Is For
- HVAC and ducting fabricators cutting daily blanks
- Sheet metal shops working in 0.5mm to 1.2mm material
- Stainless steel fabricators cutting thin sheet
- Distributors supplying duct machine lines
Application Scenarios
- Cutting duct blanks from coil sheet before folding
- Trimming panel and cladding sheet to width
- Stainless steel sheet cutting for catering and food equipment fabrication
- Preparing blanks for a folding machine in a sheet metal shop
- Straight cutting of light gauge sheet in a maintenance workshop

How It Compares With the Alternatives
| GS-1000 hand guillotine shear | The GS-1000 is a compact bench-scale foot shear for short cuts; the Q11 reaches 2000mm cutting length for full-width duct blanks |
|---|---|
| QC11K CNC hydraulic guillotine shear | The QC11K cuts heavier plate under CNC backgauge control for production work; the Q11 is a simple foot shear for thin sheet with nothing to program |
| Cutting blanks with a nibbler or angle grinder | Power tools leave a burred and uneven edge that then needs dressing; the Q11 shears a clean straight edge in one stroke |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Confirm the sheet grade and thickness are within the model rating
Step 2
Set the gauge to the blank width you need
Step 3
Feed the sheet flat against the gauge and hold it down through the cut
Step 4
Work the pedal through a complete stroke so the cut finishes cleanly at the far end
Step 5
Check the first blank for width and squareness before running the batch
Step 6
Clear swarf from the blade line between cuts
Step 7
Have the blades reground once the cut edge starts to burr

Questions About Foot Power Shearer Q11
Which Q11 model should I order?
Choose by cutting length and capacity. Q11 1x2000 cuts to 2000mm, Q11 1x1600 to 1600mm and Q11 1.2x1300 to 1300mm with the higher 1.2mm mild steel rating.
Can it cut stainless steel?
Yes, at 0.5mm on the 2000mm and 1600mm machines and 0.6mm on the 1300mm machine. Send us your grade and thickness and we will confirm.
What is the cutting angle and why does it matter?
All three models cut at 1 degree 30 minutes. A shallow angle spreads the cut along the blade and limits the twist that would otherwise pull a long narrow strip out of shape.
What does the machine weigh and what space does it need?
650kg at 2240x1100x1140mm, 520kg at 1800x1250x1150mm and 380kg at 1500x1250x1150mm for the 2000mm 1600mm and 1300mm models.
Does it need a power supply?
It is a foot power shearer, so the cutting stroke is made by the operator. Tell us your shop layout and we will confirm the installation requirement for the model you choose.
What are your trade and payment terms?
FOB CFR and CIF. Payment is 30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight.
How do I order replacement blades?
Send us your model designation, for example Q11 1x2000, and we will quote a blade set against that machine.
