When an existing housing will not carry your idea, we develop a new product from concept through tooling to mass production. Our own mould workshop sits in the same building as the assembly line, which is why a tooling revision here takes days rather than weeks.

Every Stage And What It Takes

Brief and feasibility
5 to 10 daysWe review your concept against cost, moulding and certification reality, and tell you early if something will not work.

Industrial design
20 to 30 daysSketches, then 3D concepts, then a frozen design you approve. Structural design runs alongside so nothing gets designed that cannot be moulded.

Prototype
10 to 15 days3D printed and hand-assembled units to validate ergonomics, dispensing path and component fit before steel is cut.

Tooling
35 to 45 daysMoulds cut in our own workshop. First shots reviewed together, revisions handled in house.

Engineering samples and certification
20 to 30 daysPilot units built on the real tooling, then submitted for CE, FCC and RoHS testing.

Mass production
15 to 25 daysFirst production run with dedicated line capacity and full batch records.

What Sits Outside This Service
- Projects below 3000 units per run, where tooling cannot be recovered
- Categories outside pet feeding and hydration
If your project falls outside this scope, say so early. We would rather tell you at the enquiry stage than three months into a development programme.

What does this service cost
Service cost is built into the unit price rather than charged separately, except for tooling on ODM projects and certification testing fees, which are quoted as line items before work starts.
Who owns the design
On OEM work the housing design stays with us and your branding stays with you. On ODM projects where you fund the tooling, the design of that housing is yours under the terms in the development agreement.
Do you sign an NDA
Yes, before any files, drawings or commercial detail move in either direction.
What happens if a sample is not approved
We revise and rebuild. Production does not start until you sign off a pre-production sample, and there is no limit on reasonable revision rounds during that stage.
