Two Levels Of Branding
The cheap version is your label on the box and the reel. It costs almost nothing, applies at any quantity, and stops existing the moment the cable comes off the drum.
The real version is your brand extruded onto the jacket itself, alongside the specification and rating. It is still readable when an electrician pulls the last ten metres two years later, which is the point of branding a commodity.
What Jacket Printing Requires
- A minimum of 1 km per specification
- Final print text agreed before the run — brand, spec, rating, length markers
- A proof length printed and photographed for approval
- A lead time that includes the proofing step
Deciding The Range
Most private label programmes start with two or three high-turnover specifications and grow. Starting with the whole catalogue ties up working capital in slow lines before you know which ones sell.
Because LAN, electrical, fire alarm, security, speaker and telecom cable are all made in the same facility, the range can expand without adding suppliers or re-qualifying a second factory.
Packaging And Documentation
Packaging design support is included — you supply the logo and brand guidelines, we produce box artwork, reel labels and bag printing for approval.
CE and RoHS documentation covers the relevant ranges and is issued with each shipment, so your own customers' compliance files can be completed without chasing the factory.
Applying this to a live project? Send the specification and we will tell you how it lands for your case — a buyer's guide to oem and private label cable is exactly the kind of question we answer whether or not there is an order attached.
