Product Overview
Where a pen divider has to be economical rather than impact-proof, an extruded PVC hollow board with a slotted face does the job at a lower cost per square metre than moulded PP. It is the usual choice for internal divisions in farrowing and weaner rooms, where the animals are lighter and the loading is gentler.
Panels are built from the JGM PVC board range, cut to the pen width, and assembled into posts and U-channel from the same profile family.

Materials and Manufacturing
Extruded rigid PVC. The PVC Partition Panel (Vented) is extruded as a continuous profile: rigid PVC compound is fed through a heated screw and drawn through a die that forms both the outer wall and the internal rib pattern in one pass. The profile is then cooled, sized and cut to the length the order calls for, which is why length is a customer dimension rather than a catalogue one.

Use guide
Installing and Running It
Step 1
Set U-channel at the floor and a corner post at each end before fitting boards.
Step 2
Cut boards to the pen width so the run needs no filler piece.
Step 3
Keep the slotted face away from the feeder so spilt feed does not pass between pens.
Step 4
Rinse the slot field during washdown — it is the one place fine material collects.

How strong is a PVC divider compared to PP?
PVC is stiffer but less forgiving under impact. It suits farrowing and weaner divisions; for finishing pens, PP is the better material.
