Tooling for the Tile Calibrating Squaring and Polishing Line
A tile line is a sequence of stations that each depend on the one before. Calibrate, rough grind, fine grind, square, chamfer, groove, polish. We supply 16 products across 12 categories covering that whole chain, including the silicon carbide and glaze abrasives that sit between the diamond steps.
What Goes Wrong and What Fixes It
Gloss varies across the tile face
Uneven rough grinding after calibration is the usual cause. Satellite and cylindrical wheels are graded so the removal stays even across the width.
Size tolerance drifts through the shift
Rectified tile size is set at the squaring stations. Metal bond peripheral wheels do the rough stage and resin bond wheels hold the final size.
Silicon carbide changes the finish as it wears
That is the argument for diamond fickerts on the rough and medium steps, keeping silicon carbide for matt effects where it belongs.
Edge chips appear at packing
Chamfering removes the arris that chips in the box. Metal bond takes the stock off, resin bond on an aluminium base finishes it.

Diamond rollers from 240 to 320 mm, silver welded for continuous duty.
Rough grinding
Cylindrical and satellite wheels in continuous rim and segmented versions.
Graded grinding
Diamond fickerts replacing traditional silicon carbide, plus magnesium oxide bond abrasives for the ladder.
Squaring
Metal bond peripheral wheels for rough squaring, resin bond wheels for the fine stage.
Edge work
Chamfering wheels, grooving blades and tile cutting blades for step and skirting pieces.
Surface effects
Glaze polishing abrasives, resin bond silicon carbide and grinding brushes from 36# to 1500#.
