One Wheel Programme for Every Class of Glass Machine
Glass machines are not interchangeable and neither is their tooling. A wheel that works on a straight-line edger is the wrong profile for a bevelling machine and the wrong bond for a shape machine. The programme is organised by machine class for that reason.
The 7 Decisions in This Chain
Cutting
Continuous rim blades for flat glass, segmented blades where a laminated interlayer would gum a closed rim.
Rough grinding
Metal bond wheels at 80#, 100# and 120#, in the profile for your machine class.
Fine and finish grinding
Resin bond wheels for straight-line edging and bevelling machines, including the chamfer.
Shape work
Special shape edging wheels from 50 to 200 mm for building, automotive, furniture and appliance glass.
CNC machining
Diamond routers specified for your machining centre, shank and feed rate.
Drilling
Core bits with matching countersinks so the hole and its chamfer agree.
Polishing to gloss
10S fine grinding, BK first and second polish, BD fine polish, then wool felt with cerium oxide powder.
