What This Machine Does
The WS series is a hand-operated sheet metal folder for shops that bend panels, pans and boxes without wanting the running cost of a powered brake. A heavy steel fabricated frame carries the bending load so the fold stays straight along its whole length, and ground segmented fingers can be taken out and repositioned to clear the sides of a box or a pan. Extended fingers allow box and pan work to a depth of 200mm. A graduation ruler on both sides of the machine shows the bend angle, so the operator sets the fold rather than guessing it and checking with a square afterwards. The top beam is adjusted by a quick-action mechanism when material thickness changes, and a safety stop lever for the top beam support sits on the right of the machine. A rear manual back gauge is included for repeat bend distances. Models cover bending lengths of 1300mm 2000mm and 2500mm in 1.5mm mild steel.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Heavy steel fabricated frame keeps long folds straight instead of bowing in the middle
- Ground segmented fingers are repositioned by hand so boxes and pans can be folded on four sides
- Extended fingers allow pan and box depth up to 200mm
- Graduation rulers on both sides remove angle guesswork during the fold
- Quick-action beam adjustment lets the operator change material thickness in seconds
- Rear manual back gauge repeats the same bend distance across a batch
- No hydraulics or motor to maintain which suits low-volume and remote workshops
Where WS Series Manual Sheet Metal Bending Machine Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Light-frame folders deflect and leave a bowed fold across a long panel
- Fixed one-piece fingers make it impossible to fold the fourth side of a box
- Bend angles set by eye have to be reworked after checking with a square
- Changing material thickness on a screw-adjusted beam wastes setup time
- Repeating the same flange width across a batch is slow without a back gauge
Who It Is For
- HVAC ducting and roofing fabricators
- Small sheet metal shops working in mild steel up to 1.5mm
- Maintenance workshops needing a folder without a power connection
- Distributors supplying entry-level sheet metal equipment
Application Scenarios
- Folding ducting flashings and trims in an HVAC or roofing shop
- Making pans boxes and trays up to 200mm deep for enclosures and catering fittings
- Sample and prototype sheet work before a job goes onto a powered brake
- Site and maintenance workshops with limited power supply
- Training and vocational workshops teaching sheet metal folding

- Finger set arrangement prepared for the box and pan sizes you fold
- Manual and machine markings prepared in your working language
How It Compares With the Alternatives
| FD series electric type folding machine | The FD series drives the folding beam electrically for higher output; the WS series is hand operated and needs no power supply which suits low-volume and site work |
|---|---|
| WC67Y hydraulic press brake | A press brake bends in a die with much greater force and thickness range; the WS folder clamps and folds the sheet, which is faster to set for simple flanges and box work |
| Bending over a bench and hammer | Hand forming leaves stretched and wavy folds; the WS folder clamps the full length under the beam so the fold line stays straight |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Set the segmented fingers so they clear the sides of the part being folded
Step 2
Adjust the top beam with the quick-action mechanism for the material thickness
Step 3
Set the rear back gauge to the flange width you need
Step 4
Slide the sheet in against the back gauge and clamp with the top beam
Step 5
Lift the folding beam to the angle shown on the graduation rulers
Step 6
Release the beam remove the part and check the first fold before running the batch
Step 7
Keep the finger faces and beam clean so marks are not pressed into the sheet

Questions About WS Series Manual Sheet Metal Bending Machine
What thickness can the WS series fold?
The models listed are rated at 1.5mm in mild steel. Harder or thicker material reduces the usable width, so send us your material grade and thickness and we will confirm.
How deep a box can I fold?
The extended fingers allow pans and boxes to a depth of 200mm. The minimum bending space is 200*200mm on the 1300mm and 2000mm models and 200*300mm on the 2500mm model.
What is the difference between the standard and the A models?
They share bending length and thickness but differ in machine weight, for example 390kg against 320kg on the 1300mm models and 780kg against 700kg on the 2000mm models.
Does it need a power supply?
No. The WS series is manually operated and has no motor or hydraulic system, which is why it suits site workshops and shops with limited power.
How is the machine packed and shipped?
It is packed for sea freight from our storehouse in Xi'an. Machine weights run from 320kg to 1200kg depending on model, so tell us your port and we will quote FOB CFR or CIF.
What are your payment terms?
30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight.
Can I order spare fingers?
Yes. Send us the model of your machine and the finger widths you need and we will quote them against that model.
