What This Machine Does
This is a family of automatic feed drilling machines in four capacities: ZB4116G drills to 16mm, ZB4120G to 20mm and the ZB4132G, ZB4132GP, Z5032G and Z5032GP to 31.75mm. Automatic feed is the point of them. Where a hand-fed drill depends on the operator pushing at a steady rate, these machines feed the spindle at a set rate up to 110-113 mm/min, so the hole is drilled at a consistent rate whatever the operator is doing and the drill is less likely to grab as it breaks through. Each model also taps: M12 in cast iron and M10 in steel on the ZB4116G, up to M24 and M20 on the 31.75mm machines. Spindle travel is split between manual and automatic, 100/75mm on the smallest up to 150/105mm on the largest. The Z5032 builds stand taller, with 1235mm from spindle nose to base against 745mm on the ZB4132G, for tall workpieces.
Why Buyers Choose This Machine
- Automatic spindle feed to 110-113 mm/min gives a consistent hole rate regardless of operator
- Four drilling capacities from 16mm to 31.75mm so the machine matches the hole size you drill most
- Tapping capacity from M12 in cast iron up to M24 so drilling and tapping happen at one station
- Manual and automatic spindle travel both available on every model for setup and production
- Z5032 builds give 1235mm spindle nose to base for tall workpieces
- Spindle speeds from 280 to 2730 r/min across the range cover large and small drills
- Net weights from 153kg to 310kg give the mass a drilling machine needs to stay still
Where Auto-Feed Drilling Machine ZB4116G ZB4120G ZB413 Earns Its Place
Problems It Solves
- Hand feed rate varies with the operator so hole quality and drill life vary too
- Drills grab and snatch at break-through when fed by hand
- Moving the part to a separate tapping machine loses the hole alignment
- A machine sized for the biggest hole is slow and wasteful for the smallest
- Tall workpieces will not fit under machines with limited spindle nose to base distance
- Light drilling machines move under load and the hole wanders
Who It Is For
- Fabrication shops drilling repeat hole patterns in plate and section
- Machine shops needing drilling and tapping at the same station
- Maintenance workshops working in cast iron and steel
- Training workshops teaching drilling practice
- Distributors supplying small and medium workshops
Application Scenarios
- Production drilling of repeat hole patterns at a consistent feed rate
- Drilling and then tapping the same hole without moving the part
- Through-hole drilling where break-out grab spoils the hole on hand feed
- Tall workpiece drilling on the Z5032 builds
- Small hole work at high speed on the ZB4116G at up to 2730 r/min
- Fabrication and maintenance drilling in cast iron and steel

How It Is Built and What Can Be Changed
Operations Performed
- Drilling
- Tapping
- Reaming
- Counterboring
Quality Control
- Automatic feed rate checked against the rated 109-113 mm/min on each model
- Spindle run-out measured at the MT2 or MT3 taper
- Spindle speed range verified across the values on the model plate
- Table squareness to the spindle axis checked before shipment
- Motor and control circuit tested at the ordered supply voltage
Customisation Options
- Model selected by the hole and thread size you work with most
- GP builds specified where that configuration suits your work
- Supply voltage frequency and phase built for your market
- Chuck arbors and tapping attachments supplied with the machine
- Packing dimensions confirmed for your freight route
How It Compares With the Alternatives
| Bench Strong Drilling Machine Z4006G Z4116G Z4120G Z4132G Z5032G | The bench range is hand fed with the same capacities; this range adds automatic spindle feed for consistent production drilling |
|---|---|
| Hand-fed pillar drill | Hand feed varies between operators and grabs at break-through; automatic feed at a set rate does neither |
| Tapping Machine SWJ-10B SWJ-6 SWJ-12 SWJ-16 SWJ-24 | The SWJ machines are dedicated tappers; these drilling machines drill and tap at one station, which suits shops where both operations follow each other |
| Using a milling machine for hole work | A drilling machine ties up far less capital and floor space for holes that need no contouring |
Running the Machine
Step 1
Choose the model whose drilling and tapping capacity covers your largest hole and thread
Step 2
Clamp the workpiece to the table rather than holding it by hand
Step 3
Fit the drill in the MT2 or MT3 taper and check run-out
Step 4
Set the spindle speed for the drill diameter and material from the speed range
Step 5
Use manual travel to position and automatic feed for the cut
Step 6
Reduce feed near break-through in thin material and use cutting fluid in steel
Step 7
Keep the column and table clean so the head and table stay square to the spindle

What is the automatic feed rate?
Up to 110 mm/min on the ZB4116G, 109 mm/min on the ZB4120G and 113 mm/min on the 31.75mm machines.
What voltage are the motors wired for?
The 0.75kw, 1.1kw or 1.5kw motor is wired to the voltage frequency and phase you state on the order.
How are they packed for shipment?
Packing sizes run from 85 x 54 x 128cm to 104 x 64 x 205cm depending on the model, with net weights of 153kg to 310kg. Shipped FOB CFR or CIF from Xi'an.
What are your payment terms?
30 percent by T/T on order and 70 percent before shipment, or an irrevocable L/C at sight.
