Get The Drawings Before The Machine Arrives

Every project we ship goes out with installation drawings, a commissioning procedure and a spare parts list. Read them before the crate lands, because civil work and services are the long-lead items on your side, not ours.

Floor And Foundations

Packing machines are not heavy by industrial standards but they are tall and they vibrate. Published machine weights on the premade bag range run from 1200 kg to 1800 kg with overall dimensions up to 2200 x 2200 x 4200 mm.

What matters more than load is levelness and isolation. Level the frame properly and do not share steelwork between a weigher and a palletiser.

Compressed Air

Published air requirements on the premade bag machines are 6 to 8 kgf per square centimetre at 0.6 to 0.9 cubic metres a minute depending on model, and 0.5 to 0.8 MPa at 1.2 cubic metres a minute on the packing production line.

Air quality matters as much as quantity. Wet or dirty air will destroy pneumatic valves faster than anything else on the line.

Electrical Supply

Published requirements are AC 380 V plus or minus 10 percent at 50 to 60 Hz, with overall power from 5 kW to 8 kW on the premade bag machines and 15 kW on the packing production line as a three-phase five-wire supply.

Confirm your own voltage and frequency at enquiry stage. It is a build option, not a field change.

Dust Extraction And Environment

Powder applications need extraction at the fill point, and the duct route has to be planned with the layout rather than added afterwards. Published working environment on the semi-automatic scales is minus 30 to plus 40 degrees Celsius on the electric models and minus 10 to plus 40 on the pneumatic ones.

What A Good Factory Acceptance Test Looks Like

The machine runs with your own material, or a close equivalent if the product cannot be shipped. You get the individual pack weights rather than an average. You get the achieved speed over a sustained run rather than a peak figure. You see a bag change and a product change performed on the screen.

You can attend in Hefei, and you are welcome to. If you cannot travel, we record the run-off and send it before the machine is crated.

Site Commissioning

Mechanical positioning and levelling, services connected, dry run, then a run with product, then operator training on the touch screen, then a signed handover. Depending on project size this is supported remotely or with our engineer on site.

Train more than one operator. The most common cause of a machine under-performing a year later is that the one person who understood the screen has left.
