Product Overview
Feed is the largest cost in a finishing house, and the pan is where most of it is lost. A pan that runs too open spills feed onto the slat; a pan set too tight leaves pigs hungry and noisy. The maxi pan feeder puts the adjustment on a stainless mechanism that holds its setting under daily use.
The pan itself is moulded polypropylene, sized for grow-finish groups, with enough rim to let several pigs feed at once without the animal in the middle pushing feed out.

Moulded and machined components, assembled in-house. The Maxi Pan Feeder is assembled from moulded and machined components on our own line. Moulded bodies come off the same presses as the rest of the range; stainless and metal parts are sourced to specification and fitted with the fasteners the assembly drawing calls for, so a replacement part years later still fits.

Installing and Running It
Step 1
Set the pan height so the rim sits at the shoulder of the smallest pig in the group.
Step 2
Start with the adjustment nearly closed and open it until feed is just present in the pan, not heaped.
Step 3
Check the setting weekly for the first month — pigs grow into a different flow requirement.
Step 4
Empty and rinse the pan between batches rather than topping up over old feed.
