Product Overview
The impeller is the part of a ventilation fan that fails first. A blade catches something during cleaning, the balance goes, the bearing takes the vibration, and a few months later the fan is scrap. Changing the impeller at the first sign of vibration is the cheapest maintenance in the building.
JGM supplies impellers as a spare part, balanced and ready to fit to the fans in its own range.

Materials and Manufacturing
Moulded and machined components, assembled in-house. The Fan Impeller is assembled from moulded and machined components on our own line. Moulded bodies come off the same presses as the rest of the range; stainless and metal parts are sourced to specification and fitted with the fasteners the assembly drawing calls for, so a replacement part years later still fits.

Installing and Running It
Step 1
Order against the fan model, not by eye — diameters and bores differ across the range.
Step 2
Isolate the fan electrically before removing the guard.
Step 3
Check the shaft and bearing while the impeller is off; a rough bearing will destroy the new blade too.
Step 4
Run the fan after fitting and listen — a balanced impeller runs quiet.

Which impeller fits my fan?
Send the fan model or a photo of the rating plate. Diameter and bore are confirmed against the fan, which is why they are marked TBC on this page.
Why not just replace the whole fan?
If the motor and housing are sound, an impeller costs a fraction of a new fan and restores the same performance.
Is it balanced?
Yes, before dispatch. An unbalanced blade is what destroys the bearing in the first place.
Should I keep one in stock?
One per room type is normal practice for farrowing houses, where a fan down in cold weather has an immediate cost.
