Ultrasonic Gas Flow Sensor 200KHz
A 200 kHz transducer matched to a gas load, measuring transit time across the duct so the meter has no moving part, low pressure loss and a wide range ratio, while resisting chemical corrosion from the medium.
- High precision
- Resistance to chemical corrosion
The problem it solves. Gas is a poor acoustic load. Couple a transducer badly and most of the energy never leaves the face; add a diaphragm meter and you add pressure loss and moving parts to a billing instrument.
Ask for: operating frequency, dimensions, supply voltage, lead length and connector. These are confirmed per order against the current drawing.

Application scenarios
- Monitoring of various gas flow rates
- Industrial gas metering
- HVAC fresh air systems
- Energy monitoring
Why this configuration
- 200 kHz is the practical compromise for gas: low enough to survive the impedance mismatch into air, high enough to time the path usefully.
- Corrosion resistance is designed into the wetted materials rather than added as a coating.
- No moving part and low pressure loss, so the meter does not become the restriction in the line.
Questions engineers ask about this sensor
Which gases can it measure?
It is adapted to various gases such as natural gas and air. Tell us the gas composition, temperature and pressure and we will confirm the material and coupling suit it.
Does installation angle matter?
Yes. The flow calculation combines the measured time difference with the channel length and the installation angle, so the angle has to be fixed and known in your flow body.
What does 'wide range ratio' mean for my meter?
It means the usable span between minimum and maximum measurable flow is large, so one meter covers both trickle and full-load flow without switching devices.
Can it be used for HVAC fresh air measurement?
Yes, fresh air systems are one of the listed application scenarios, alongside industrial gas metering and energy monitoring.
