Gas Metering & HVAC
Metering a gas means fighting an impedance mismatch, without adding pressure loss to the line.
Sound couples badly from a solid face into a gas, which is why gas transducers run lower than liquid ones. Our 200 kHz unit is matched to that load, and the meter it goes into measures transit time across the duct: no diaphragm, no moving part, low pressure loss and a wide range ratio between minimum and maximum flow.
The same transducer serves industrial gas metering, HVAC fresh air systems and energy monitoring. Corrosion resistance is part of the material selection rather than a surface treatment, so it stays adapted to media such as natural gas over the life of the instrument.

Three answers that get you a real recommendation
- Which gas, at what temperature and pressure?
- What is the channel length and the installation angle in your flow body?
- Is this a billing instrument, a process monitor or a fresh air control loop?

Talk it through with the people who build the device
Signal analysis and failure handling sit in the same team as design and material development, so a technical question gets a technical answer.
