Twisting the drive and return lines keeps coupled noise common-mode, which matters when the transducer sits close to motors or a switching supply, as it does inside a floor-cleaning robot.
Is the housing sealed at the back?
The rear face is closed, with the harness exiting from the side. Ingress rating for your specific mounting is confirmed case by case.
Can you supply it without the connector?
