Twin-wall corrugated plastic has vertical flutes running in one direction, so the panel is much stiffer along the flute than across it. PP honeycomb board, also called PP bubble guard board, is a three-layer panel with a circular honeycomb core between two flat skins, which gives homogeneous rigidity across the panel.
Where Honeycomb Board Wins
Choose honeycomb board when you need equal stiffness in both directions, a very flat panel, or a panel wider than a standard sheet. Maximum width is 2500 mm, thickness runs from 1.5 mm to 13 mm and weight from 250 gsm to 3000 gsm, in grey, white, black or a colour to request.
Where Twin-Wall Sheet Wins
Twin-wall sheet is the more economical panel and covers a much wider set of grades: corona treated, anti-static, conductive, UV stabilised and flame retardant, in any colour, from 2 mm to 12 mm at 250 g/m² to 2000 g/m². For printed signage, ESD packaging and most box work it remains the right choice.

Honeycomb board is 100% polypropylene and twin-wall sheet is extruded polypropylene, so both stay recyclable at end of life without separating dissimilar materials.
