Product Overview
During extrusion, conductive concentrate grain is added to modify the material, and in this way the sheet is given its conductive performance.
Conductive sheet is only applied to black, with surface resistivity of 1×10³ Ω to 1×10⁵ Ω.
Conductive sheet is often fabricated into conductive reusable containers, widely used for electronic parts packaging and delivery. Electronic components are sensitive, fragile and high in value, so they need proper protection from damage, and a conductive container is a better choice than wood, cardboard or metal. Conductive plastic containers transport and store parts safely, keep spare parts and industrial materials from breakage, and give effective protection for semiconductors, computers and telecom equipment.
Key Benefits
Excellent Mechanical Property
The twin-wall structure gives strong toughness, impact resistance, high compressive strength, shock buffering, high hardness, good bending behaviour and long service life.
Light Weight and Material Saving
To reach the same mechanical result, an extruded corrugated sheet uses less material, costs less and weighs less than a solid board.
Heat and Sound Insulation
The hollow flute structure transfers far less heat and sound than a solid board of the same thickness.
Anti-Static Conductive and Flame Retardant Grades
Modification, compounding and surface treatment produce anti-static, conductive and flame retardant versions of the same base sheet.
Stable Chemical Property
Against carton board or wooden board the sheet offers chemical resistance, waterproofing, moisture resistance, weatherability, anti-corrosion and fade resistance.
Smooth Surface in Many Colours
Masterbatch modification extrudes the sheet in different colours and the surface accepts paint and ink jet printing well.
Environmentally Friendly
Polypropylene is non-toxic and non-polluting, simple to dispose of and can be recycled.
Applications and Fit
Application Scenarios
- Conductive reusable containers for electronic parts
- ESD safe trays, dividers and inserts
- Semiconductor and PCB transport packaging
- Telecom equipment transit packing
Who It Is For
- Semiconductor and PCB manufacturers
- Electronics contract manufacturers
- Telecom equipment producers
- ESD packaging converters
Problems It Solves
- Charge accumulation in transit destroys sensitive devices.
- Anti-static grade is not conductive enough for some ESD protocols.
- Wood and cardboard cannot be validated for an ESD controlled area.

Technical Features and Materials
High impact co-polymer polypropylene with conductive concentrate compounded at the extruder. Conductive grade is produced in black only.
Manufacturing Process
- Raw Material High impact co-polymer polypropylene resin, with anti-static, conductive, UV or flame retardant masterbatch added at the extruder when a modified grade is ordered.
- Extrusion The sheet is extruded on one of six production lines to the ordered thickness and weight per square metre. Printing grade stock is corona treated on both surfaces during extrusion.
- Cutting and Creasing Sheets are cut to the ordered panel size and creased where the part has to fold.
- Fabrication Boxes, totes, trays, sleeves and layer pads are formed by welding, riveting or sealing the edges and corners, and accessories are fitted.
- Inspection and Packing Finished goods are inspected, then packed in plastic shrink film on wooden pallets or to the packing method the customer specifies.
From Enquiry to Delivered Goods
Quality Control
ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
Operations run to an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system so that the process meets international standards.
100% Inspection Before Delivery
Quality control is carried out inside our own factory and every product is 100% tested before it is released for delivery.
Extrusion Line Control
Thickness, weight per square metre, flute geometry and colour are set and checked on the extrusion line so each sheet matches the ordered specification.
Fabrication Check
Cut sizes, crease positions, welded corners and sealed edges are checked against the approved sample before packing.
Certifications and Standards
Operations run to an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system. Container resin can be specified as ESD safe or flame retardant meeting UL 94 HB flame retardant grade. Where food contact packing is required, 100% new virgin materials are used. We do not publish certificates we have not been given — ask and we will send what applies to your order.
Customization and Comparison
Customization Options
- OEM and customised orders are welcome. Send the drawing and the requirements of the style you want and we will submit samples for your approval.
- Thickness, weight per square metre, panel size, colour and grade are all set per order.
- Boxes and containers can be produced in different colours, thicknesses and styles to your detailed requirements, including dividers, layer pads and accessories.
- Printing and self-adhesive vinyl application are available on corona treated printing grade stock.
Comparison With Other Options
| Option | What It Means for You |
|---|---|
| Conductive Sheet | 1×10³–1×10⁵ Ω, black only |
| Anti-Static Sheet | 1×10⁸–1×10¹⁰ Ω, any colour |
| Standard Sheet | No static control, any colour |
Use Guide
- Check the resistivity band your ESD procedure calls for. Conductive is 1×10³–1×10⁵ Ω; anti-static is 1×10⁸–1×10¹⁰ Ω.
- Conductive grade is black. If you need colour coding, do it with labels or printed panels rather than sheet colour.
- Give the box or tray drawing with the sheet enquiry so the container can be quoted in the same grade.

FAQ
FAQ About Conductive Plastic Sheet
Why Is Conductive Sheet Only Black
The conductive concentrate used during extrusion produces a black sheet, so conductive grade is supplied in black.
What Resistivity Do You Reach
Conductive grade runs at 1×10³ Ω to 1×10⁵ Ω.
Can You Fabricate the Containers Too
Yes. Conductive sheet is regularly fabricated into conductive reusable containers for electronic parts packaging and delivery.
Is It Better Than Metal Packaging
For this duty a conductive corrugated plastic container is a better choice than wood, cardboard or even metal.
