Flame Retardant Corrugated Plastic Explained
An extruded grade rather than a surface treatment

Why Extruded Rather Than Treated
Because of the excellent resistance of polypropylene resin, the sheet can be extruded as a flame retardant grade through a unique technology. That solves two separate problems: board that has no flame retardant performance at all, and board whose flame retardant performance does not endure because it was applied to the surface.
Where the Grade Is Required
Flame retardant sheet significantly raises safety where corrugated plastic is used in household appliance and automotive applications. It is fabricated into packaging boxes, turnover boxes, isolating plate, pallets, dunnage, base plate and cork base, and is widely used in drug product, cosmetics and inflammable or explosive material logistics.
Container Resin and UL 94 HB
For fabricated containers rather than raw sheet, the resin can be specified as ESD safe or flame retardant meeting UL 94 HB flame retardant grade. Tell us which of the two assessments applies to your part so the correct material is quoted.
Specification Points
Flame retardant sheet is produced from 2 mm to 12 mm at 250 g/m² to 2000 g/m², at 2440 × 1220 mm or any size to request, in the colour you specify.
Because it looks identical to standard board, label and store it separately in your warehouse.

FAQ
Is the Property Sprayed On
No. The sheet is extruded as a flame retardant grade, which avoids flame retardant performance that does not endure.
What Grade Can Container Resin Meet
Container resin can be flame retardant meeting UL 94 HB flame retardant grade.
Which Industries Use It Most
