How It Compares

AK-ER60A is a gas shielded wire with copper plating, designed for high deposition and stable arc in low alloy steel welding. It differs from solid wires without plating in its improved conductivity and reduced spatter. Compared to flux-cored wires, it produces cleaner welds with less fume and slag, but requires external shielding gas. It is not intended for use in low-hydrogen applications where basic flux-cored wires are preferred.
