AK-E81T1-Ni2C Flux-Cored Wire for Low-Temperature Toughness in High-Strength Steel Welding.
A gas shielded flux-cored wire designed for high-strength low alloy steels requiring good CVN toughness at low temperatures, with stable arc and easy slag removal across all positions.
Product Overview
AK-E81T1-Ni2C is a flux-cored welding wire for gas shielded arc welding of high-strength low alloy steels. It is formulated to deliver good Charpy V-notch (CVN) toughness at low temperatures, making it suitable for critical applications in demanding environments.
The wire supports single-pass and multi-pass welding in all positions. It provides stable arc performance, reduced spatter and smoke, and easy slag removal, which improves weld quality and reduces post-weld cleaning time.
Application: Welding for 550MPa grade high strength structural steel, like vessels, machine manu facturing, petrochemical industries and structural bridges etc.
Key Benefits
Good CVN Toughness at Low Temperatures.
The wire delivers reliable impact toughness in low-temperature service, meeting the requirements for applications involving 550 MPa grade high-strength steels.
Stable Arc and Low Spatter.
The flux formulation ensures a stable arc and minimal spatter during welding, which improves process consistency and reduces the need for rework.
Easy Slag Removal
Slag detaches readily after welding, reducing the time required for inter-run cleaning and minimizing the risk of slag entrapment.
All-Position Welding Capability
Suitable for flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead welding positions, allowing a single wire to be used across multiple joint orientations.
Where It Is Used
- Welding of 550 MPa grade high-strength structural steels.
- Pressure vessels and petrochemical equipment fabrication.
- Structural bridge construction
- Heavy machinery manufacturing
Who It Is For
- Welding consumable distributors supplying flux-cored wires for industrial and structural applications.
- Fabricators working with high-strength steels requiring low-temperature toughness.
- Contractors in petrochemical and structural industries needing consistent, code-compliant welds.
Problems It Solves
- Achieving required CVN toughness at low temperatures in high-strength steel welds without compromising weldability.
- Managing slag removal and spatter in flux-cored welding processes, which can slow down production.
- Using a single wire across multiple positions without changing consumables or adjusting parameters significantly.
