Stenter Pin Plate and Brush Wheel Size Reference

How to Use This Reference

Every size below is a part we actually make. The point of the list is not that you find your machine in it, it is that you see how close together the sizes run and why measuring matters more than the machine name.

Take three measurements on a pin plate: hole to hole distance, hole diameter and overall plate length. Take two on a brush wheel: diameter and body width. Send us those with a photo and we will confirm the match before you pay.

Pin Plate Dimensions

The common Monforts and Artos pattern is 4 x 130 x 12 mm, with two fixing holes of 4 mm diameter on 76 mm centres. Pin plate 642 is the short plate on that same hole pattern.

The Krantz plate is quite different: 4 x 12 x 77 mm, hole to hole 57 mm, 3 mm screws. A Monforts plate will not seat in a Krantz holder and the reverse is equally true. The LK pin plate holder works on a 76 mm hold size.

Pin geometry is shared across the fabric plates regardless of brand: pins about 5 mm long in two rows at 3 to 4 pins per cm, thicker at the root.

Brush Wheel Sizes

Eleven sizes, and several of them share a diameter. Monforts big 220 x 167 mm. Monforts small 180 x 22 mm. Bruckner big 220 x 158 mm. Bruckner small 155 x 85 mm. Artos 205 x 145 mm. LK 207 x 80 mm. ALKAN 225 x 90 mm. EHWHA 240 x 180 mm. Unitech 265 x 90 mm. ACC big 220 x 158 mm. ACC small 180 x 70 mm. F2 205 x 157 mm.

Look at the pairs. Monforts big and Bruckner big are both 220 mm diameter, 9 mm apart on the body. Artos and F2 are both 205 mm, 12 mm apart. Monforts small and ACC small are both 180 mm, 48 mm apart. Diameter alone will get you the wrong wheel.

PEEK Part Sizes

PEEK nuts, sliders and buffer blocks are held in four sizes: 44 x 7, 44 x 6, 45 x 6 and 45 x 6.35. Reference weight on those parts is 0.238 kg.

PEEK bushes and uncurler rollers are specified by colour and fit rather than by a single size code, so send us a sample or a photo with the dimensions marked.

Cutting Blades and Chain

Cloth cutting blades are 200 x 40 mm in two thicknesses, 2.3 mm and 2.5 mm, at 0.44 kg reference weight. A blade that is too thin will chatter in the holder.

Chain is not specified by a size code at all. Measure the pitch over ten links and photograph a link with the slider visible. That is what identifies a chain pattern, and it is the only reliable way to tell four Bruckner patterns apart.

Reference Weights

Weights on our listings are shipping references, not fitment checks. Chains and clips sit around 0.65 kg, lighter Monforts chain builds at 0.6 kg and 0.63 kg, PEEK parts at 0.238 kg, cutting blades at 0.44 kg, the double use clip at 0.76 kg.

Use them to estimate freight on a rail quantity. Do not use them to confirm you have the right part.
