Why These Shows Matter to a Parts Buyer
Textile machinery exhibitions are where manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals gather to show and discover advances, technologies and trends in textile machinery. They offer networking, product demonstrations and a view of where the industry is heading.
For someone buying wear parts rather than machines, the value is different but real. It is the one place you can put a worn pin plate in front of several suppliers in a single afternoon and watch which of them measures it and which of them guesses.
ITMA
ITMA, the International Textile Machinery Exhibition, is the largest and most prestigious event for textile and garment machinery, raw materials and technologies. It runs every four years and rotates between major European cities, covering the entire textile production process from fibre to finished garment, including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing and digital textile printing.
The next edition is scheduled for 20 to 26 June 2027 in Milan, Italy. The official site is itma.com.
ITMA ASIA and CITME
ITMA ASIA is a combined event organised by ITMA and CITME, the China International Textile Machinery Exhibition, held in Shanghai on a two year cycle. It focuses on the Asian textile market and shows technologies from both international and local exhibitors.
For a buyer sourcing parts from China this is the most directly useful show on the list, because the supply base is in the room rather than represented by agents. The official site is itmaasia.com.

ITME India
ITME India, the India International Textile Machinery Exhibition, is the biggest textile machinery exhibition in India, held in Mumbai on a four year cycle. It draws global manufacturers and suppliers into the growing Indian market and covers textile engineering, machinery and new technologies.
India is also home to two of the stenter builders on most mills' lists, Mamata and Harish. The official site is india-itme.com.
Techtextil
Techtextil, the international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, runs in Frankfurt, Germany on a two year cycle. It covers technical textile applications across automotive, aerospace, healthcare and other industries.
This is the show to attend if your finishing work is moving towards technical textiles or film. Polyimide film used for insulation and protection in electronics and aerospace is processed on tenter frames that need stainless steel pin plates rated to 800 degrees, not textile plates. SIMATEX and SaigonTex
SIMATEX is one of the leading textile machinery exhibitions in Latin America, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on a two year cycle, showing machinery and equipment for the textile and garment industry. The official site is simatex.com.ar.
SaigonTex, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Expo, runs annually in Ho Chi Minh City and is the largest event of its kind in Vietnam, covering machinery, fabric and accessories. Vietnam's finishing capacity has grown steadily, and with it the installed base of stenter frames needing parts. The official site is sgtie.com.vn.
Getting Value Out of a Visit
Take the worn parts with you. A photograph is enough for a first enquiry by email, but a physical part on a stand cuts through a conversation in a way nothing else does.
Ask the questions that reveal whether a supplier understands the application rather than the drawing: what the plate body is made of and why, how they identify a pattern, and how they pack a rail set. Those three answers sort a hall full of exhibitors quickly.
