CY Series Ball Transfer Units
The CY series is the pressed-steel workhorse of the range: a stamped steel cup, a steel load ball and a full bed of support balls, offered in flange mount and press mount bodies. It is the unit specified when a line needs many transfer points at a sensible cost and the duty is normal indoor carton and tote handling.

Pressed units are often bought on price and then fail early because the plate was too thin for the mount style, or because the unit sat under a wash-down hose it was never plated for.
How to choose
Choose flange mount where you can bolt from above and want the ball height fixed by the flange; choose press mount where the plate is punched and a flush finish matters. Chrome plating is the usual upgrade for damp indoor areas; stainless bodies are handled by the KS and SI series.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between flange mount and press mount CY units?
Flange mount has a wide collar with screw holes and sits on top of the plate; press mount has a plain shoulder and is pressed into a prepared hole. Flange mount is easier to retrofit, press mount gives a lower, cleaner surface.
Is the CY series suitable for outdoor use?
Plated pressed steel is an indoor specification. For outdoor, wash-down or corrosive areas use the stainless bodies from the KS KSM or SI SD series instead.
