The problem this group solves

Steel balls burnish and scratch finished surfaces, and on a long inspection bench the noise of steel on steel is a real complaint. Nylon solves both at the cost of load rating and temperature range.

How to choose

Use nylon where marking matters and loads are light to moderate; go back to a steel ball where the load, temperature or abrasive dust would deform the nylon.
