Warehousing and Distribution
Pick faces, dispatch lanes and truck loading runs built from flow track, gravity rollers and ball transfer plates.
What goes wrong in this environment
Distribution centres live or die on the last three metres. Cartons stall in a flow lane because the wheels are the wrong pitch, dispatch rollers seize after a wet winter, and the transfer plate at the end of the line is so stiff that pickers drag boxes across it instead of spinning them.
What buyers here need
- Flow lanes that keep cartons moving at a controlled pace without accelerating into the pick face
- Roller bearings that still turn after a year in an unheated dispatch bay
- Transfer plates operators can rotate a carton on with one hand
- Spares that arrive as dimensional matches, not near misses

Gravity Flow Lanes and Pick Faces
Building a carton flow lane from rail, wheels and roller bearings that keeps moving for years.
SolutionBall Transfer Tables and Transfer Plates
Laying out a ball table so an operator can rotate and align a load with one hand, and so the units survive the way the load arrives.
SolutionConveyor Retrofit and Spares Programmes
Re-bearing, re-wheeling and re-driving existing conveyor rather than replacing it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I stop cartons accelerating down a long flow lane?
Shallower slope over more lane length, and wheel pitch close enough that at least three wheels carry the carton. Where the lane is long, brake wheels or a staged slope are used to hold the speed down.
Can I re-bearing existing rollers instead of replacing them?
If the tube is straight and the diameter standard, new end caps in the existing tubes is the cheaper fix. Send the tube inside diameter, bore and shaft form to check the match.
