Buying components and sections from different suppliers is where line projects go wrong — roller pitch, bearing bore and frame heights stop matching at the joints.
How to choose
Set roller pitch so at least three rollers are under the shortest product at all times, then choose drive type: gravity for short manual runs, motor roller for zoned accumulation, belt for anything that will not sit on rollers.

Roller conveyor or belt conveyor?
Rollers suit rigid flat-bottomed items — cartons, totes, pallets. Belts suit small, soft, bagged or irregular products that would fall between rollers.
