Technology and Process
Rubber and injection moulding, with stamping, welding and assembly alongside — plus the materials, finishes and marking processes available on every part.
What we are focused on
We are focusing on rubber and injection moulding mainly, but stamping, welding and assembly of any type is possible. Our plants, together with a team of designers and experienced manufacturing leaders, are based in Shanghai and Beijing, China.
What that means for price
Thanks to our long-term experience with customers all over the world we offer good quality products at a competitive price. The two things that make that possible are in-house tooling and having the designers in the same buildings as the presses.
The two ways we build a sport pad
We produce various types of sports pads including overmoulded finisher plates and press fit finishers. Overmoulding gives a single inseparable part; press fit gives lower tooling and the freedom to combine plates and inserts differently.
Metal finishes
A wide range of materials and finishes is available. Brushed aluminium, sand blasted stainless steel and polished stainless steel are the most popular choices.
Polymers we run
PP with or without glass reinforcement, PVC, TPE, TPE-SEBS, EPDM and SBR. Glass reinforcement changes shrinkage, so it is fixed before the tool is dimensioned, not after the first samples.
Marking, cutting and machining
Many of our customers require aesthetic logos to be present upon their parts, and our facilities offer laser etching for steel components. We can also laser cut thin material or CNC machine thicker sheets to be used for our finisher plates. Other technologies at our disposal include colour prints for plastic components.
Capabilities in detail
Overmoulded Finisher Plates
Rubber moulded directly onto a steel or aluminium face, so the insert cannot be levered out.
Press Fit Finishers
A separately moulded rubber insert pressed into the finisher plate — the lower-tooling route to the same look.
Rubber Compound Selection
EPDM, SBR, TPE, TPE-SEBS, PVC and PP — and the test data that tells you which one the part actually needs.
Metal Face Finishing
Brushed aluminium, sand blasted or polished stainless steel, plus laser etching, laser cutting and CNC machining.
Prototype to PPAP
Parts from a prototype tool in 4 weeks; full PPAP to ISO/TS 16949 or VDA typically in 8 weeks.
In-House Tooling
Every tool behind these parts was designed and built in our own shop.
Questions buyers ask
Can you do stamping and welding as well as moulding?
Yes. Stamping, welding and assembly of any type is possible alongside the rubber and injection moulding that is our main focus.
Which finish should I choose for a visible pedal face?
Brushed aluminium or sand blasted stainless age most evenly. Polished stainless looks best on day one and shows every mark after that.
Can you put our logo on the part?
On steel components we laser etch it. On plastic components the equivalent is colour printing, registered to the moulded features.
Ready when you are
One email starts it: the part, the volume, and a drawing or a photograph of the sample. Everything else we can work out.
