Motorcycle and Powersports
Moulded rubber ducts, covers, straps and grips carried to motorcycle part numbers.
Parts carried to OEM numbers
The YAMAHA group in this catalogue is seven rubber parts quoted and tooled against the customer's own part numbers, each carrying its compound code on the part itself: EP40, EP60, EP70, EP80, NBR70 and CI60.
Why the compound code matters more here
A motorcycle part lives outdoors. Intake ducts see heat and ozone, fuel-side parts see oil mist, and a handlebar grip has to stay soft enough to deform under the hand. That is three different compounds on one machine, which is why the grade is marked on the part rather than left on the drawing.
What we verify
Ozone and ageing tests for the exposed parts, oil resistance for the fuel-side ones, and Shore A hardness on everything — all run in the Beijing facility next to the line.
Questions buyers ask
Do you supply this sector directly or through a tier one?
Both happen. Since 1998 we have supplied accelerator, brake and clutch pads to some of the biggest names in the automotive industry, and we also work with the assemblers who build the pedal boxes those pads go into.
What certification applies?
Our production facilities in Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan are ISO/TS certified, and we run PPAP to ISO/TS 16949 or VDA, typically over 8 weeks.
How do I start?
Send a drawing in SolidWorks, Pro-E or UG, or the sample part. We will come back with a quotation and, where useful, suggestions for improving the part.
Working on motorcycle and powersports?
Tell us the part and the annual volume. We will say straight away whether it is already tooled here.
