Product Overview

The EM-PR800 is the rewinding half of our paper cushion pair. It unwinds two reels at once and rewinds them together as a single reel, which is how the 2-ply stock for the Paper Cushion Machine is made. It handles reels up to 1 Ton and 1200 mm diameter at the unwind, rewinds to 300 mm, and runs at up to 80 m/min across a 760 mm width.

Manufacturing And Quality

The machine is built at our workshop in Ruian, Zhejiang. UDEM has issued CE attestations of conformity to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC for our honeycomb paper making machine, bag making machine and paper folding machine, referencing EN ISO 12100:2010 and EN 60204-1:2018. A demo machine is kept running in the workshop so the build can be shown and installation supported by video call.

Customization

We have engineers who develop new machine functions to customer requirements, and where the current machine cannot meet a requirement we supply a solution instead. Several machines in this range started exactly that way.

Compared With Our Other Machines

This machine and the Paper Cushion Machine are two halves of one process: the rewinder builds the 2-ply reel at 80 m/min, the cushion machine forms the pad from it at 25 m/min. Against the honeycomb machines, there is no die cutting here at all, only two-roll unwinding and rewinding, which is why the frame is 8500 mm long and holds no cutting module.

Use Guide

Load both mill reels on the two-roll unwinding stand, up to 1 Ton and 1200 mm each. Match the rewinding shaft to the cushion machine you will feed, usually 1.5 inch. Run at the speed the paper will take up to 80 m/min and stop the rewind at 300 mm diameter so the finished reel still fits the pad former.
